The following case study explores how EEH-Solutions have contributed to the Sustainable Warmth (SW) grant scheme - focusing on the partnership between EEH-Solutions, Greater Southeast energy and Warmworks.
During the scheme, EEH-Solutions was under contract for Greater Southeast Energy, also partnering with a manager agent under Warmworks to cover approximately 200 square miles across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire and North London. The map is as follows:
Overall, EEH-Solutions performed 450 measures over a 6-month period, including technical and design surveys. This provided the company with responsibility over the varying projects, including energy efficiency services such as External Wall Insulations (EWI), heat controls with TRVs and/or smart thermostats, low energy lighting, background ventilation and mechanical ventilation.
For instance, the efforts produced by EEH-Solutions can be observed through our work on a home within the depicted area, the images below depicting before and after EWI:
Ultimately, EEH-Solutions upgraded the EWI, Ventilation, existing lights and the extractor vents to mechanical extractor fans in the kitchen and bathrooms. Additionally, we fitted trickle vents onto the windows, upgraded their Thermostatic Radiator Valves and updated heating controls.
During these projects, EEH-Solutions were wholly responsible for site and project management, creating all the design and specifications for the various works. All installations were performed under PAS 2035/ PAS 2030, working with private homeowners and assisting those in low-income households that struggle with the cost-of-living crisis.
