# Warm Homes: Local Grant

#### The UK Government’s Warm Homes Plan is a major, long-term initiative to slash energy bills, tackle fuel poverty, and upgrade inefficient homes. At EEH, we turn this policy into action. ### What is the Warm Homes: Local Grant?

Delivered by local councils across the UK, the Warm Homes: Local Grant helps households upgrade properties that are difficult or costly to heat. The funding covers essential energy-saving improvements like better insulation and upgraded heating systems.

### How Can it Improve my Home?

If your application and property assessment are successful, the grant can fund a variety of energy-saving installations designed to make your home more comfortable and affordable to run:

- **Solid wall insulation:** Keeps the winter chill out by adding interior or exterior insulation. *Result: A warmer home and lower heating use.*
- **Air source heat pumps:** Swaps your old gas boiler for a low-carbon system that heats your home and water using outside air. *Result: Cheaper heating and lower emissions.*
- **Solar panels:** Uses the sun to power your home’s appliances and lighting. *Result: Noticeably lower electricity bills.*
- **Loft insulation:** Puts a lid on the heat escaping through your roof. *Result: Warmer rooms and less strain on your boiler.*
- **Underfloor insulation:** Seals up draughty suspended floors to stop warmth from seeping into the ground. *Result: Cosier feet and a more efficient heating system.*
- **Smart controls:** Gives you complete, hour-by-hour control over exactly which rooms are heated. *Result: Zero wasted energy and highly manageable bills.*
