How Can it Improve my Home?

If your application and property assessment are successful, the grant can fund a variety of energy-saving installations designed to make your home more comfortable and affordable to run:

  • Solid wall insulation: Keeps the winter chill out by adding interior or exterior insulation. Result: A warmer home and lower heating use.
  • Air source heat pumps: Swaps your old gas boiler for a low-carbon system that heats your home and water using outside air. Result: Cheaper heating and lower emissions.
  • Solar panels: Uses the sun to power your home’s appliances and lighting. Result: Noticeably lower electricity bills.
  • Loft insulation: Puts a lid on the heat escaping through your roof. Result: Warmer rooms and less strain on your boiler.
  • Underfloor insulation: Seals up draughty suspended floors to stop warmth from seeping into the ground. Result: Cozier feet and a more efficient heating system.
  • Smart controls: Gives you complete, hour-by-hour control over exactly which rooms are heated. Result: Zero wasted energy and highly manageable bills.
